About Us
Sona Nair launched the Natyakala Dance School in 2017, which is run by its artistic directors and has its roots in the South Indian dance style of Bharatanatyam.
Sona Nair - a classical dancer and teacher, who is trained under eminent Kalakshetra and Kalamandalam gurus. She started her dance journey and the age of 5 and since then has been performing in various dance forms which include Mohiniyattam, Kuchupudi, Kathakali, Ottamthullal, Theyyam etc. Some of her laurels include the Kalathilakam award and Gold medalist award from the Kerala State. She is currently based out of Minneapolis and the Director of Natyakala Dance Group.
